BSB50420 - Diploma of Leadership and Management

You’ll learn to:

  • Lead and manage effective workplace relationships
  • Foster successful teamwork
  • Manage business operational plans

SIS50122 - Diploma of Sport, Aquatics and Recreation Management

Cross the goal line to become a manager in a sport, aquatics or recreation facility. Lead and manage teams and liaise with facility managers and local councils. Boost program participation, plan and run a series of sports coaching sessions.

You’ll learn to:

  • Lead teams at work
  • Create, oversee, and evaluate workplace health and safety
  • Analyse an organisation’s participation pattern for sport, fitness, aquatic or recreation programs
  • Plan and deliver a series of sports coaching sessions & major sport recreation event

A minimum of two guaranteed graduate roles (across various departments) will be offered to graduates at the South Sydney Rabbitohs each year.

Outside of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, potential career pathways from completing the course include (either in a sports club or other businesses):

Entrance Requirements
  • No ATAR requirements
  • Year 12 Graduate: Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent
  • Laptop
  • Access to internet (outside of class hours)
  • Existing digital skills - Microsoft office suite
  • Existing volunteer or work experience preferred
  • Ability to record videos

Pathways into a variety of undergraduate programs at university

Upon successful completion of the BSB50420 - Diploma of Leadership and Management and the SIS50122 - Diploma of Sport, Aquatics and Recreation Management, graduates will be able to gain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for entry into a variety of undergraduate programs at University.

Hands-on learning across an elite sporting organisation

Students' theoretical learning will be supported by 100 hours of work-integrated learning that will be provided across various departments at the club.

Study at world-class facilities, including the USANA Rabbitohs Centre and the historic Redfern Oval.

Teaching will be delivered across two iconic locations - the new state of the art USANA Rabbitohs Centre in Maroubra, home of the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the historic Redfern Oval, a venue rich in Rabbitohs heritage.
